THE SCIENCE BEHIND ORTHOPULSE

Step 1
Near infrared light at a wavelength of 850 nm penetrates the gingiva mucosa and bone
Step 2
The light enters the cells’ mitochondria and is absorbed by cytochrome c oxidase (CCO) increasing its activity
Step 3
At least two important molecules are impacted:

ATP: Production of Adenosine Triphosphate increases, accelerating the healing process

Nitric Oxide release, a potent vasodilator, enhancing the transport of oxygen and nutrients while increasing blood flow to the tissues
